Realistic self defence methods.

Hi, As always I have been surfing the net and come across some great sites on realistic self defence. I am always astonished at the amount of claims that can be made by "self professed experts" I'm no expert and I would never claim to be one, but one thing I do have is 27 years experience of martial arts training and realistic programs that I have either taught or have been taught....you see that is a very important point....you NEVER stop learning! techniques change, people change, attitudes to other arts and programs change and you have to keep up to speed. Most of the "experts" that I have seen over the years seem arrogant in the fact that you can learn just one move and disable an opponent in seconds, even if he is 25 stone and built like a brick......(you know what I mean!)It is frustrating in seeing these claims and I can see how people are sucked in to buying such courses, normally at "Knock down prices TODAY ONLY!!!" You have seen the type I am sure.

There is no such thing as a quick fix routine to learn how to effect real self defence and certainly not in just one hour!! The good thing about the internet though is that you can search for these people and see what others have said about their courses..... that wouldn't have happened 10 years ago!! Very Interesting reading and watching!! Say no more!

If anyone would like information on realistic ways of how to defend yourself drop me a line and I will put something together for you. Thanks for reading my blog, Carl
