The Marbella heat really took its toll on me this morning!! I just couldn't get going....the humidity was very high but I managed to get to the gym first thing while it was cooler but when I got to the Dojo it was really difficult to get into the swing of things!
I managed to get some work in and I got accustomed to the heat about 2 hours in.
Felt as if all the pieces of the jigsaw where finally coming together today, the ceiling is almost finished, we cleared alot of rubbish out and had a good tidy up. We have a photo shoot for 4 hours on Monday and I am seriously thinking about taking the day off tomorrow to sort out what I want to photograph on Monday and come up with some sort of script.
We unpacked all the furniture and put it into the boys changing rooms and sorted out all the stock. We have got some great equipment and hopefully some great wall pads coming next week.
James form Inside out Health Magazine came down yesterday with some free magazines for us, after careful consideration these guys are the only people who we will advertise with here on the coast, we have had some great offers from other papers and magazines and to be honest as a one off it could be worth while a punt just to get our name out there, but for the long term it has to be IOH. The concept of the magazine is very exciting and they have some great writers, (unlike myself) I wish them every bit of luck for the future. I know James reads my blog.....good on you James!!
I just read over my last blog and as I read it I thought I sounded like the Simon Cowell of Martial arts!!! I didn't mean too, this is such a strange place to live, I really love it but I think you have to be a bit sadistic at the same time!..... If your reading this from the UK and you have not experienced Marbella first hand you will not know what I mean...... however if you live here and you have come across all the experts, and I don't just mean in martial arts you will know exactly what I mean!! There are some proper cranks here who have done it, been there and got the t, shirt but unfortunately.... they dreamt it!! or maybe they just forgot to tell you it was in a past life.
I will be trying to work out how to upload videos next week to the blog as I want to put my money where my mouth is and show you some of the stuff that we will be going through in the new Dojo.
