What a week that was!!!

Hi everyone,

Here in Marbella we haven't had much to shout about for a while, the weather has been dull and wet to say the least for quite some time now! The economy here in Spain is poor and there is no sight of us getting back to the way it was for quite some time...

Do you think that has stopped me wanting to build my business? do you think I have given up all hope of ever "making" it here? Do you think I wake up every morning and think "oh no...not another doom and gloom day!!!???.... NO I DONT!! In fact, I embrace the fact that things are tough! I am sick and tired of everyone moaning and groaning!

This morning I received an email from someone living down the coast who wanted to start up her fitness business here, I'm assuming from the conversation that she thinks the grass is greener here in sunny Marbella, the pavements are littered with rich clients money!! NOT!! It couldn't be further from the truth!! you see, EVERYONE is feeling the crunch! we are ALL having to tighten our belts in one way or another, however some of us are not prepared to sit back and do NOTHING about it, on the contrary!! I want to fight for every last client coming through the door!! and I will treat them as they deserve to be treated...like paying customers!! (that's another story...for another time!)

Anyway, I tried to give my advice as to what she ought to do....it basically came right back in my face as "so your not prepared to help me??) NO....I didnt say that!! What I said was "in my experience of being here for the last few years, this is the way the market has gone so I would do...." The conversation was ended soon afterwards and that was that!!

I listen to anyone who has something worth saying, if I like there advice I take it, if not...I dont! but more importantly, I look for people in my business who have done it and wear the T/shirt with pride!

Surround yourself with positive people, not the hangers on type, the yes men and women, the ones that have a great outlook on life and face downturns as challenges not lets pack our bags and flee!!
